2018 WSOP: Event #16: $10,000 Heads-Up No-Limit Hold'em Championship won by Justin Bonomo for $185,965

It really appears that Justin Bonomo is an unstoppable force in his quest to earn more money and to add another bracelet to his name in this year's WSOP events.

Indeed, Justin Bonomo's name is becoming more and more popular as the days pass by thanks to his recent huge wins and continuous achievements in the history of tournament poker, and pretty soon they are most likely going to rival the 2014 record performance of Daniel Colman or the amazing 2016 run by Fedor Holz. The 32-year-old poker pro from Los Angeles has won his 9th title of the year as he outlasted a total of 114 players in this year's WSOP Event #16: $10,000 Heads-Up No-Limit Hold'em Championship for a nice $185,965 cash prize and his 2nd WSOP gold bracelet.

With a total of 16 final table finishes so far for this year 2018, Bonomo has now $14,681,541 in winnings this year alone (and it's only the half of the year!) He currently has $32,774,095 in career earnings, putting him in 3rd place on the all-time money list, behind Erik Seidel ($34,567,415) and Daniel Negreanu ($38,377,607).

Bonomo said after his 2nd bracelet win, "The first bracelet definitely felt a lot more special. I had four second-place finishes at that time without a first-place finish. Now, I don't really have to feel like I have to get any monkey off my back anymore or kill any kind of curse. The significance of this one just means my insane winning streak isn't over. I just hope it continues."

Bonomo is indeed having a blast in recent months this year. He has won nine titles just this year alone, with six of them since the beginning of May, and that includes winning the $300,000 buy-in Super High Roller Bowl for $5 million just 10 days prior to winning this event. After that he continued his winning spree by taking down two $25,000 buy-in high rollers in Aria as he made his way to the Rio for the WSOP series. Back in April, he nabbed the title in the Super High Roller Bowl China event for $4.8 million.

Bonomo has managed to win 7 consecutive heads-up matches to emerge as the victor in this event. He won against David Peters, David Laka, Jake Schindler, Niall Farrell, Mark McGovern, Martijn Gerrits, and finally Jason McConnon to claim the bracelet and the first-place prize money.

Bonomo said, "I think I'm dreaming. I think that this is not real life and I think that's the secret. Just win in your dreams because there you can actually win every tournament."

ok the run Justin bonomo is having is really pretty sick, sure there are moment when players are on the run so called, but this is just somethin way more special, like a tsunami, it seems that this guy cannot finish the tournament outside the money, and close to a gtd spot on the final table in every tourney he plays

This guy is crushing everything he plays at the moment and it is going to be fascinating to see how long this incredible run lasts. He must be strong favourite to pick up the player of the year award

It's good that this Justin Bonomo can not have multiple accounts in live tournaments Smile because in the past he played in online tournaments with many accounts in few poker rooms. He probably would have done this today, if he was not caught. From my point of view is a shame person but today has become a big name in poker.

Belated congratulations to Justin Bonomo on winning the $10,000 buy-in Heads-Up No-Limit Hold'em Championship tournament and scooping the first-place prize of $185,965. Justin is running extremely well this summer.

Well I come from these sides to comment a little bit hahaha although I did it in a post similar to this one very recently ... I do not know that it depends if you are lucky or how it will be done to eliminate good players in the different tournaments tube... Shock Shock Shock
